  • 1 Portabella Mushroom – 22 to 25 calories
  • 2 slices of Aunt Milles 35 calorie bread – 70 calories
  • 0 calorie butter flavored non-stick cooking spray – 0 calories
  • Plain 0 calorie yellow mustard – 0 calories
  • 3 dill pickles or slices of cucumber – calories
  • 1 thin slice of tomato – 3 calories
  • ¼ cup lettuce – 0 calories
  • Preferred 0 calorie seasonings and preferably no sodium seasonings.  The recommended seasonings are cilantro, garlic powder, Mrs. Dash any flavor.


First, wash all of your veggies in cold water, cut the stem part off of the Portabella Mushroom.

Next, spray a nonstick pan with 0 calorie butter flavored cooking spray, add the mushroom to the pan stemmed side down, put the lid on the pan and cook on the stove top on medium heat.

Then, let the mushroom brown on one side, flip it, season the stemmed side, put the lid on the pan and let it brown on the other side.  This process takes about 3 to 5 minutes on each side. 

After about 3 minutes flip the mushroom again to cook the seasoning side of the mushroom, put the lid on the pan and turn the burner off but leave the pan on the burner to continue cooking the mushroom a little more.

While the mushroom is cooking spray another pan with non-stick cooking spray and toast your bread in that pan.

Lastly, assemble the burger and enjoy!
